Remembrance Day 2024​

This year the Remembrance Day Service will be held at Christ Church URC, followed by a March to the Garden of Remembrance for the Silence at 11 O’clock and the Wreath Laying Ceremony. This year we are commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.
Branch Members, members of the public and the Officers & Committee are cordially invited to join us for the Annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service.
The Parade will form up in Chatsworth Parade, Queensway, Petts Wood at 09:15 Marching off at 09:25, The Service will commence by 10:00 for a half hour Service.
Following the Service the Parade will reform in Willett Way, marching off at 10:40 to the Garden of Remembrance in Woodland Way for the Traditional Silence at 11 O’clock, followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony which you are invited to take part in.
Little Remembrance Crosses will also be available at the Garden for a donation to the Poppy Appeal.
The Salute on the March will be taken by the Local Councillors representing the Mayor of Bromley
& Church Dignitaries in Petts Wood Road, before entering the Garden of Remembrance.
IF YOU ARE TAKING PART PLEASE BE AT THE REHEARSAL, in the Church on Wednesday 6th November 7p.m.
You are invited to join us at the Petts Wood Royal British Legion H.Q. in Queensway following the Parade and Service for Refreshments.
